What we are looking for:
This contest presents a great opportunity for you to let us know how web/mobile-based applications can help us serve the public even better. More specifically we are looking for ideas related to each of the categories below:
Water & Power — Ideas here can relate to water and electricity, including some that inspire all of us to use less energy and live smarter.
Parks & Recreation — Ideas here can relate to anything that helps our parks, golf courses or recreational programs serve our toddlers, kids and adults better.
Public Safety — Think of the fire department, police department, or even traffic. Anything related to giving us better tools to improve and enhance public safety.
Tourism/Sports/Entertainment — Ideas here can relate to any aspect of our tourist attractions and sporting events, including The Disneyland Resort, conventions, hotels, Angels and Ducks games, USA Men’s/Women’s Volleyball, Honda Center.
Anything Anaheim — If you have an idea that does not fit into one of the categories above, place it here.
Contest Overview:
Stage 1: September 29 – November 30, 2009
People submit Ideas for apps they would like to see related to any or all of the five categories we have created.
Stage 2: December 1 – December 31, 2009
City of Anaheim committee reviews all ideas and picks the winners for all categories.
Stage 3: January 5, 2010
The winning ideas are posted on this site, and winners are contacted so they can be awarded their prizes.
